Type III Breakaway Barricade & Accessories

Type III Breakaway Barricades and Accessories have three horizontal rails of plastic with retro-reflective sheeting, 5ft wide. Other sizes available by special order. Plastic units meet NCHRP-350.

Designed to break apart on impact and minimize damage to impacting vehicles. The barricade can be used for Type III applications either on a semi-permanent or temporary basis. The break-away feature allows rapid disassembly for transport and storage. Two units can readily be locked together with velcro strips to make 10ft units. Replacement or additional components are available.

Easy to install and maintain. Used on freeways or other high-speed roadways where visibility is a concern. Mounting holes for flashing lights and oversized panels provide excellent target value from great distances, giving motorists adequate advance warning for construction areas or detours. The barricade can also be used as a sign stand. Because its completely plastic, it never rusts or needs repainting.
