Nonwoven construction fabrics are an ideal solution for use in the construction industry. For example, lightweight nonwovens may be used in asphalt overlay applications. When correctly installed, using paving fabric between the old asphalt and the new overlay extends the life of the asphalt by reducing cracking. A moisture barrier is also created resulting in subgrade protection from water intrusion.
This fabric is also used as a dust screen around construction sites, to lessen flying dust and dirt when the ground is disturbed by heavy equipment. It reduces noise transmitted to neighboring properties, and blocks unsightly views.
