Crossroad
Construction Warning (CW) Signs: Intersection Warning Signs (CW2-1 - W2-5)
A temporary traffic control zone is an area of a highway where road user conditions are changed because of a work zone or an incident through the use of temporary traffic control devices, police, or other authorized officials. A Cross Road sign may be used on a roadway in advance of an intersection to indicate the presence of an intersection and the possibility of turning or entering traffic.
Guidance: The Intersection sign should illustrate and depict the general configuration of the intersecting roadway, such as cross road, side road, T-intersection, Y-intersection, or curvilinear alignment. Intersection signs should not be used on approaches controlled by STOP signs, YIELD signs, signals, or where Junction signing or advance route turn assembly signs are present.
