A temporary traffic control zone is an area of a highway where road user conditions are changed because of a work zone or an incident through the use of temporary traffic control devices, police, or other authorized officials. The horizontal alignment Turn for 30 mph or less (CW1-1), Curve over 30mph (CW1-2), Reverse Turn less than 30 mph (CW1-3), Reverse Curve over 30 mph (CW1-4), or Winding Road (CW1-5) signs may be used in advance of situations where the horizontal roadway alignment changes.

Additional Details

Aluminum backed sign with black silk screen arrow on yellow sheeting of either Engineer grade or High Intensity grade reflectivity. Mounting holes are the industry standard of 3/8".

State Hawaii: All signs = High Intensity
C&C Honolulu: All signs = Engineer

Engineer Grade is the most economical, but least reflective and is often placed in neighborhoods and on roads with less travel. Engineer Grade is designed to last for at least 7 years outdoors.

High Intensity Grade is three times more reflective than Engineer Grade and is most often used on city streets as well as roads with frequent night traffic. High Intensity Grade is designed to last for at least 10 years outdoors.
