Section 2B.48 Preferential Lane Signs R3-10 through R3-17

Preferential lanes are lanes designated for special traffic uses such as high-occupancy vehicles HOV , light rail, buses, taxis, or bicycles. They may restrict a turning lane to a certain class of vehicles during peak periods, or a provide a separate roadway system within a highway corridor for certain vehicles.

Preferential lane assignments may be made on a full-time or part-time basis.

At the end of a preferential lane, a Lane Ends R3-12a, R3-15a, or R3-16a sign shall be used.
