Lead Check
Lead Check will detect lead on any solid surface. Instantly!
Lead Check Swab Tests are easy to use, self contained disposable swabs will work on any surface. Based on the reactivity of lead with certain compounds forming colored complexes. Each swab is ready to use. There are no hidden steps or lengthy procedures. The entire test procedure is so convenient that it can be performed anywhere.
LeadCheck Swabs are non-hazardous and provide a rapid, sensitive and specific test for leachable lead on any surface. When lead is detected, LeadCheck Swabs and/or the surface being tested turns pink or red on contact, depending on the concentration of lead present. In the vast majority of test situations results are obtained in less than 30 seconds. When detecting low levels of lead, or lead chromate containing pigments, results may take longer to develop. Each kit contains test confirmation cards to verify individual test results. Sensitivity down to 2 micrograms of lead. Can detect 1.5% lead in paint with 100% accuracy.
Lead Check Aqua
If it's Red...There's Lead
A complete test system to screen for the presence of lead in water. Contains pre-treatment and reaction materials for a sensitive and specific test for lead in two tap water samples. Contains reusable cartridge, plunger, cartridge stand, two reusable collection bottles.
LeadCheck Aqua II is supplied as a complete test system for the detection of lead in water above the EPA allowable limit of 15ppb (parts per billion). Each kit contains all of the materials required to provide on-site analysis of water samples. There are no hidden steps or additional laboratory fees. The entire test requires only 10 to 15 minutes to perform from start to finish. Based on a well established chemical test method, LeadCheck Aqua II binds lead to a carrier that concentrates it onto a test strip. The strip is then tested for the presence of lead using a lead reactive dye.
Lead Check Soil
Test soil with laboratory sensitivity
Convenient method for detection of lead in soil at currently recognized hazard levels 400ppm and up . May also be used to detect leachable lead from other sources such as sandblast media and industrial waste. Test takes 30 to 60 minutes depending on material being tested.
LeadCheck Soil provides a simple, inexpensive way to test for lead in soil and other difficult to test solid materials. After collecting the soil, extract the lead with the reagent provided then test the extraction liquid for lead content. In the vast majority of test situations results are obtained in less than 10 minutes. When detecting low levels of lead the results may take longer to develop.
