How it works: Simply install the SafEscape unit to a secure anchorage using a carabiner. Attach one end of the lifeline to the front rescue D-ring of the full body harness. Drop the excess lifeline to intended landing zone. The user's weight can then be transferred to the system and descend at a controlled rate [not exceeding 4.5 ft./sec.] to a lower level. As the user is descending, the opposite end of the rescue line is ascending and readying itself to perform yet another rescue.
The complete system includes a SafEscape rescue unit, 3/80in polyester rope, rescue harness, cross-arm strap anchorage connector/carabiner, retrieval yoke and carry bag. Provides the user or rescuer with all the necessary equipment to perform self-evacuation or rescue.
