The Thorogood Uniform Commondo II Deuce lightweight safety-toe boot is in a class unto its own. With a side-zip waterproof zipper added to the other key features, you will not only keep your feet dry, but avoid blood borne pathogen contamination! Manufactured with Sympatexr, a breathable, waterproof barrier capable of resisting blood borne pathogens for at least one hour when tested according to ASTM F 1671, the Standard Test Method for resistance of materials used in PPE to measure penetration of blood borne pathogens. Also used is Thorodri, a waterproof breathable membrane with waterproof taped seams. Finally, the Deuce is made with waterproof upper materials that have all upper stitch seams sealed with a waterproof adhesive.

The upper portion of the boot is made of full grain leather and action leather stitched together with 1200 denier nylon. The outsole is made of two-density rubber with integrated EVA impact pad while the shank is made of sturdy plastic. Add the two-zone wicking mesh and removable two-density polyurethane shock zone inserts with air flow vents and you have a very comfortable, sturdy boot!

• Class I/75 footwear retains a .500 in 1/2 in for men s and .468 in 15/32 in for women s or greater clearance after a nominal impact of 75 foot-pounds 101.7J , i.e., a 50 pound weight dropped from 18 ines reaching 117.9 ñ 2.4 ines per second velocity at impact. Compression: Class C/75 footwear retains a .500 in 1/2 in after compression of 2500 lbs. 11,121 N or greater. Meets ASTM 2413-05 M/I/75/C/75 ratings.
• Blood borne pathogen penetration compliant, for at least one hour when tested according to ASTM F 1671, Standard Test Method for Resistance of Materials used in Protective Clothing.
• Manufactured with electric shock resisting soles and heels capable of withstanding 14,000 volts RMS value at 60 Hz for 1 minute with no current flow or leakage current in excess of 3.0 milliamperes under dry conditions.
• Does not leave surface residue when tested according to MIL-S-22777 paragraph 4.5.1.
• Footwear with a static coefficient of friction of greater than 0.5 when tested according to ASTM F 489 using the James Static Coefficient of Friction machine for slip resistance.
